From Raw Data To Decision-Ready Information - Co-creating Data Value Chains Using The Ramani Toolbox
This workshop highlights the utility of the Ramani toolbox in various international competition events, such as hackathons and ideathons. As part of the Iliad project, we first introduced a semantic knowledge management facility called “SemanticFlow Knowledge Hub”, aka SemFlow in short. SemFlow uses semantic Knowledge Graphs to allow both Pilot team members, domain experts, and ICT specialists to register their knowledge on a common coordinate axis. SemFlow links to FlowCell, an online co-creation environment allowing thematic domain experts, IT developers, IoT hardware providers, EO experts to easily organize their online computational assets using a visual canvas. Building on some of the most popular IoT software development frameworks, including Node-RED by IBM, SemFlow comes with a browser-based workflow editor that enables non-experts to “wire together” software and hardware services and devices, APIs, and other digital assets (e.g. ML models) in building added-value data pipelines combining raw data from diverse sources (sensors, model outputs, satellite observation, etc.) to aggregate this into meaningful, actionable, and decision-ready information on a smartphone.
