ALSEAMAR launched in 2016 a Service Department specialized in conducting “turnkey” glider survey missions for third parties. This Department has acquired a strong on-field experience and has completed more than 400 days of operation at sea each year since 2019 thanks to its glider fleet.

Thanks to this “know how”, ALSEAMAR assists its customers in order to define a mission that best meets their requirements. The customer comfortably receives the collected data without having to deploy any equipment or realize any operation at sea.

The service offered by ALSEAMAR includes all the required activities in order to conduct glider survey missions:

• Preparation of the underwater glider and mission planning

• Assistance during the deployment of the glider in the area of operation

• Piloting

• Visualization of the science data in real-time during the mission (GLIMPSE)

• Assistance during the recovery of the glider in the area of operation

• Delivery of the full dataset and mission report
