The NiMMbus service is an implementation of OGC Geospatial User Feedback (GUF) developed by the MiraMon team in the Grumets research group at the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona and the CREAF. It enables users to provide comments, ratings, questions, etc., which can be associated with resources, not limited to geospatial ones, in a catalogue using a data/metadata identifier. This is achieved by creating a citation for a resource (linking to an external catalogue or repository) and associating feedback items with it.

The NiMMbus tool can be easily integrated into any catalogue or individual web page, utilizing anything with an identifier on the web as resources. However, it is advisable that your resources have some spatial component. There are two primary methods for integrating Geospatial User Feedback into your web application:

JavaScript API and Widget:

• This option provides a simple-to-integrate JavaScript API and a widget.
• It is suitable for individuals with basic knowledge of JavaScript.Basic knowledge of calling a JavaScript function and including a library is required.
• While it is easy to integrate, it offers a relatively low level of flexibility.

JavaScript for the Web API:

• This option grants access to the JavaScript for the Web API, allowing the programmer to directly retrieve feedback items encoded in XML and generate their own presentation.
• It provides full control over how the content is displayed on the screen.
• However, it demands a more substantial understanding of JavaScript programming, including XML parsing and AJAX calls.

Choose the integration method based on your level of expertise and the desired level of flexibility for presenting feedback within your web application.
