Mission Ocean and Waters at the UN Ocean Conference 2025

Start: Tuesday 3rd June 2025

The One Ocean Science Congress (OOSC) and the Third United Nations Ocean Conference (UNOC3), co-hosted by France and Costa Rica, will take place from 3 to 13 June 2025 in Nice, France. The conference will bring together governments, scientific institutions, civil society, and industry to advance progress on Sustainable Development Goal 14: Life Below Water.

The Mission Ocean and Waters community will be present throughout the events, highlighting key projects and inviting stakeholders to endorse the Mission Charter, a joint commitment to the restoration of our ocean and waters by 2030.

Houssine Nibani, from Iliad, will be presenting Integrating Citizen Science and Digital Twin Technologies for Sustainable Coastal Management: The Case of Cala Iris as part of the session, Citizen science, ocean digitalization and capacity development projects on June 3, from 10:55 AM - 12:05 PM.

Iliad will also be featured through three posters, showcasing our progress on interoperability, thematic Digital Twins, and future pathways for ocean action. The posters will be presented from 3-5 June during dedicated poster sessions at the One Ocean Science Congress.
