Iliad at Digital Ocean Forum 2025

Start: Thursday 27th November 2025

End: Friday 28th November 2025

The fourth edition of the Digital Ocean Forum will take place on 27–28 November 2025 in Brussels, Belgium. Organised by the European Commission (DG RTD, DG MARE, DG DEFIS, DG INTPA) in collaboration with Mercator Ocean International, the Flanders Marine Institute (VLIZ), and SeaScape Belgium under the EDITO project, the event will run back-to-back with the EMODnet Open Conference 2025.

This year’s forum will focus on advancing and co-designing the EU Digital Ocean Platform, building on the Copernicus Marine and EMODnet Services. It will bring together EU Horizon Europe project leaders, experts, and stakeholders to further shape the European Digital Twin Ocean.

A high-level public session will feature European Commission Directorates-General (RTD, DEFIS, MARE, INTPA, ENV) showcasing how the platform supports the EU Ocean Pact, Global Gateway, and the UN Decade of Ocean Science for Sustainable Development. A technical workshop will follow, engaging projects to integrate innovations, gather feedback, and strengthen the user-driven evolution of the Digital Twin Ocean platform.
